Pump rub on the rear housing of your transfer case will cause a hole and ultimatly distrory your transfercase.
    The GM transfer cases use a gear pump that is driven off the mainshaft of the transfer case. Loacted in the rear housing of the transfercase, the pump floats using 5 taps to hold it in place.  The tabs holding the pump can start to wear on the rear housing over time causing a leak.  This kit will help prevent suck a leak!
